For your viewing pleasure; before xrays
As you can see, I have what is called an "S" curve. The thoracic (middle spine) measures 70 degrees and the lumbar (lower spine) measures 68 degrees. The loss of 3" in height is a result of these two curves progressing. I'm looking forward to the day when I will update this blog entry to include both, before and after, xrays! :)
Warmly,
Doreen
Hey Doreen,Are you going in for surgery? I'm 25 years old and have had surgery twice. It's not an easy process, and the pain doesn't go away after you have surgery. Good luck with everything and let me know if you need anything :-)
ReplyDeleteI am sure Idiopathic Scoliosis is caused by an Injury Traumatized Tendon/Muscle. The currently accepted “CURE” of Spinal Fusion would be magnifying the already present tension exponentially. The fact that Scoliosis exists is proof of the trauma. It is so Stupidly Simple. I am again trying to educate EVERYONE about my findings. Idiopathic Scoliosis is an injury, not a disease. After a year of 20hrs daily in a brace and therapy 3 to 4 times a week, which allowed my son's curve to increase from 60 to 67 degrees. And had Matt standing crocked and walking crocked. He drug one leg, when walking. I discovered a tight tendon, that I felt was pulling his shoulder down. We started stretching that tendon. Improvement was seen almost immediately. I could only elevate Matt’s one leg about 12” from the ground, when we started. Now I can elevate that leg a full 90 degrees. Matt still has a shift in his torso, but now has level shoulders. Walks with no difficulty, and is able to run with perfect form.
